Refunds & Makeup Policies

Classroom Refund Policy

No refunds will be given without 5 days notice before the start date of the class AND all refunds are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. This includes workshops! Any cancellations during a session are not eligible for a refund. Students may transfer the class/workshop to a different student but not a different workshop/class.

MAKE UP POLICY FOR A 8 or 10-Wk CLASSES: Missed classes will not be prorated. We will do our best to get students caught up when there is an absence but any additional make-up times are up to individual teacher discretion. Many of our teachers have other jobs and busy schedules as well.

Snow Day Policy

You will be notified via email, social media, text, and local news station if classes or workshops are canceled. There will also be a post on the Facebook page stating if I closed the studio. If you are in a 4, 8, or 10 week class you will be given the make-up date, which is typically added to the end of the session. If you are in a 1-day workshop you will also receive a text or email with options. Please add juliesartery@gmail.com to your address book so that you do not miss important updates.

Important note: If you chose to not come to a class or a workshop based on the weather but the studio is still open you will not be refunded or pro-rated.

Student Behavior Expectations

  • Respect other students.  We are here to create and every creator and creation will be different.

  • Likewise, don’t judge your work based on the student next to you. Trust the process, have fun, and enjoy the experience! Remember, we are here to have fun! We are our own worst enemy/critic. It’s best to keep an open mind.

  • All studio tools and supplies stay in the classroom and are the property of Julie’s Artery.

  • Every teacher is different.  If you watch a Youtube video on a technique or read an article that conflicts with what is being taught, please listen to the lesson first and incorporate the outside information later.

  • Accidents happen.  Paint spills or splatters, ceramic work cracks, glazes don’t turn out the way we expect all the time. We do our best to not let it happen but it does. Breathe and trust the learning process. This does not warrant a refund.  This warrants more practice/experience.

  • Life happens. We will try our best to make it possible to allow students to catchup or finish work, however, make-up times are up to individual teacher descretion. Many of our teachers have other jobs and busy schedules as well.

  • Please don’t touch other students work.

  • Julie’s Artery reserves the right to refuse services to any students for any reason without refund. (In general, just be respectful of others and yourself, and we won’t have a problem.)
