Jocelyn joined the Julie's ARTery teaching team in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Interior Design from Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD). She taught 2D and 3D classes for CCAD's Saturday morning youth art program for a number of years. She loves to see a student meet their inner artist and watch their curiosity and creativity unfold. She especially enjoys helping students gain self confidence through exploring new art mediums and techniques.

Fiber Arts || Crocheting & Knitting

JoAnn has been working with fiber arts her whole life. She joined Julie’s Artery in 2020 and has a passion to pass on her knowledge of crochet and knitting. She enjoys the relaxing rhythm of yarn and needles or hooks working in her hands. She works with her church by donating prayer shawls, blankets, scarves, and cancer hats to different organizations in the area. She has 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and a cat, and works in customer service. She enjoys working in my yard and walking with her dogs.

Glass Art

Bill established his home based glass studio 41 years ago in Niles, Michigan. The studio moved 38 years ago to Zanesville, Ohio and has grown from sun catchers for local art fairs to a multi-square foot full-service commercial commission studio. Bill welcomes students of all ages to his studio for single day project classes or weekly classes. Bill’s expertise includes design and color selection, copper foil construction, leaded construction, reinforcing, awards and gift sandblasting, and cementing/glazing. Bill’s fun approach keeps his classes moving along with a finished project and a good time for all. Bill also served as the Executive Director of the Art Glass Association 2002-2009.

Elementary Acrylics || Intro to Oil Painting || Drawing Foundations

Jill, a graduate of Bowling Green State University in fine arts with a specialization in digital art, is a local artist specializing in oils, acrylics, and water color. She taught drawing and painting briefly out of her home when her three children were much younger, and has been expanding her teaching experience at Julie’s Artery since 2022. Jill is also passionate about her work as a director and graphic designer for a regional college ministry. In her free time, she keep busy with her pet portrait and other art commissions, her personal paintings (landscapes and wildlife art), and lives on adventure with her husband and three kids who attend the Tri-Valley district.

Intro to Acyrlics

Sarah is a BFA graduate from the Columbus College of Art & Design. Having majored in Advertising and Graphic Design, she is now in her fourth year of instruction at Julie’s Artery. Her interests include art, technology, nature, and teaching! Looking for a pal? Join in on one of her classes! She is looking forward to meeting you!

American Sign Language

Lois is an American Sign Language teacher. She is retired from Zanesville City Schools where she taught for more than 30 years. Lois has taught ASL at Muskingum Educational Service Center, Ohio University - Zanesville, Zane State College and Starlight. She began teaching ASL at the studio in 2022.

Lois has a passion for working with the deaf and their families. She offers both a beginning level "Intro to ASL" and a "Next Steps to ASL". The Next Steps class is a continuation of the beginner class which is a prerequisite for continuing.

Lois has 1 son, Joseph, who she is very proud of. She cares for and loves her many puppies and Lois absolutely loves doing anything artistic. She enjoys crocheting, painting, knitting and working with stained glass.
